ASA Grants
Through the annual ASA Grants program, funding is available to support one or more research projects each year. In partnership with Marsh Insurance, a total funding pool of AU$30,000 is available to facilitate sonographers to undertake new research that contributes to the sonography practice. Specifically, this funding supports members to undertake quality research which will then lead to publications and contribute to the evidence base of sonography.
In 2023, the ASA Grants program was expanded with the introduction of audit grants, now encompassing funding specifically designated for clinical audit projects, aimed at improving and implementing best practices in ultrasound. A total funding pool of AU$10,000 is allocated to support two projects, each eligible for up to AU$5,000, in collaboration with Marsh Insurance.
ASA Accredited Medical Sonographer members are eligible to apply for an ASA Grant. The opening of applications for the next round of funding will be announced on the ASA website and members will also be advised by email.
