Communication and Leadership Month
In partnership with British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and Sonography Canada
This September, the ASA is proud to collaborate with SDMS, Sonography Canada, and BMUS to spotlight the importance of communication and leadership in sonography. These skills are critical for building effective clinical teams, supporting safe and compassionate patient care, and strengthening the role of sonographers as leaders within healthcare.
Sonographers who excel in communication and leadership not only improve patient experiences but also foster collaboration, mentor peers, and advocate for the profession. Developing these capabilities is vital to navigating complex clinical environments and ensuring high standards of practice.
Throughout the month, we’re sharing a curated collection of educational resources—ranging from journal articles and webinars to podcasts and interactive modules—designed to support your professional growth and highlight the impact of strong communication and leadership skills in sonography.
