COVID and Events
For events that are now open to members the following restrictions apply:
Attendees must be registered for the event through the ASA
Do not attend if unwell.
Do not attend if in self-isolation period.
Keep 1.5 metres away from others.
Do not make unnecessary physical contact with others. Avoid physical greetings, such as handshakes, hugs and kisses.
Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
Minimise touching of surfaces.
Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser on entering an event.
Frequently wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser during the event.
Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. Use a flexed elbow or a tissue; if you use a tissue, dispose of it immediately and appropriately.
Clean up after yourself by placing rubbish in bins provided and avoiding putting items such as phones on meal surfaces etc.

The Australasian Sonographers Association is pleased to bring this travelling workshop to Dubbo on Saturday 13 March 2021.
Presented by Lisa Hackett, pain pathways will be explored with clinical assessments to assist our MSK examination.
Clinical relevance and basic assessment will be discussed in this workshop. Delegates will have the chance to send through questions prior to the workshop for the presenter to address in an open forum.
Live scanning will be carried out throughout the day.

About the presenter - Lisa Hackett
Lisa is a qualified radiographer and an experienced MSK specialist sonographer. She began MSK scanning in Sydney in 1993 and has been educating in the field for 20 years. Lisa currently works with Professor George Murrell, an Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder surgery and research; Dr Jeni Saunders and Dr Justin Paoloni in sports medicine; and Dr Irwin Lim and Co.in rheumatology. Lisa has presented at both a national and international level. She is actively involved in the ASA and is a committee member of the MSK Special Interest Group, encouraging further education in ultrasound imaging. She has co-authored numerous peer reviewed papers and authored a paper on Diagnostic shoulder imaging, published in 2011 in the Techniques of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Journal. Lisa also published her landmark research on Calcific tendonitis in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in 2014 and presented this research as an invited speaker to the AAOS meeting in New Orleans (2015) and was also an invited speaker to the ORS meeting in Las Vegas (2015). Lisa was recently awarded a Fellowship of the ASA.
