We are excited to announce the Abdominal Vasculature SIG Day in Sydney on 28th February, 2026.
This event will feature four expert speakers who will cover a range of advanced topics from technical aspects to clinical applications.
In addition to the presentations, there will be a unique opportunity live scanning demonstrations and to participate in a Q&A session with all of the speakers.
The event provides an excellent platform for attendees to network with colleagues, discuss best practices, and exchange ideas. To close the day, there will be networking drinks where attendees can continue their discussions and make new connections. This is an excellent opportunity for sonographers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and network with peers.

James Maunder, AFASA| Chief Vascular Sonographer

Western Australian Sonographer of the Year 2019
James has regularly presented at the state and national level since 2011, and has been an active member of the ASA Special interest Group (Vasc.) since 2019.
James has worked in both large Tertiary Public Hospitals, multi Specialist Private Practices and individual Vascular Specialist labs in Queensland and Western Australia. He is currently the Senior Sonographer scanning full time in Perth, traveling once a month to regional WA to provide Vascular Scans to the Great Southern region in our state. He routinely has student sonographers in training since 2009, from High School work studies students to post-grad sonographers and Specialist Clinicians studying for their Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (ASUM DDU) qualification, who are looking to increase their Vascular sonography skill sets.
James has been a member of the ASA Special Interest Group (SIG) for Vascualr since 2019 and was awarded WA Sonographer of the Year 2019.

Claire O'Reilly
Claire is a senior Sonographer at Monash Health and is currently the ultrasound site supervise at the Victorian Heart Hospital. She is also one of the PoCUS educators across the 5 main sites of Monash Health.

Dr Animesh Singla
AS Vascular NSW
Dr Animesh Singla is a specialist Vascular Surgeon. He provides endovascular and open treatment for all vascular conditions. He is also an Australian qualified Transplant Surgeon with specialist skills in providing care for access creation and management, peritoneal dialysis, kidney transplantation and retrieval surgeries.
He has completed advanced training in vascular and endovascular skills across leading high-volume and academic centres across Australia and New Zealand where he has learnt a broad skill base. This included Flinders Medical Centre (Adelaide, SA), Port Macquarie Base Hospital (NSW), Waikato Base Hospital (New Zealand), Liverpool Hospital (Sydney, NSW) and Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney, NSW).

Linda Thebridge
Linda has a background in Medical Radiation Science with 30 years of experience in both general and vascular ultrasound, and currently works in a quaternary level public hospital.
Linda started her PhD at Sydney University in the Faculty of Medicine and Health in 2019. Her ultrasound research investigates blood flow in renal transplants from the initial intra-operative scan through the post-operative period and includes longer term outcomes. Linda has had multiple publications reporting early outcomes in renal transplantation with routine intraoperative duplex ultrasound.
Linda is enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring all students and colleagues, across the transplant multidisciplinary team. She has written many clinical protocols and is passionate about a positive work culture.
