Dubbo | Paediatric Ultrasound Travelling Workshop | 25 July 2026
Join us in Dubbo for a truly unique learning experience — a full-day Paediatric Ultrasound CPD Workshop set within the inspiring surrounds of the Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
Designed for sonographers looking to strengthen their paediatric scanning skills, this workshop blends practical, case-focused learning with the relaxed atmosphere of one of NSW’s most iconic wildlife parks.
An insightful series of paediatric ultrasound presentations covering key clinical areas including hip, spine, head, and abdomen imaging.
The program will explore correct anatomical landmarks and Graf angles in hip ultrasound, a detailed review of Spina Bifida with case studies and common indications for paediatric spine imaging, as well as scan technique, pathology, and engaging case studies in head and abdominal ultrasound.
Each presentation is designed to support best practice and clinical confidence, and will be directly linked to interactive live scanning workshops throughout the day for a hands-on learning experience.

Registrations cancelled in writing at least 7 days before the event start date are eligible for a full refund, less a 10% processing fee. Written notice must be submitted to ASA by the deadline.

Greg O’Connor, FASA
Sonographer. Master of Medical Ultrasound (uniSA), FASA, DMU (Diploma in Medical Ultrasound)
Background – Radiographer
Greg has practiced sonography at John Hunter Children’s Hospital and Belmont District Hospital since 1997 with an interest in paediatrics. In his 29years performing ultrasound examinations, he has specialized in paediatric sonography, especially paediatric hip sonography in the diagnosis of hip dysplasia. Greg travelled to Austria in December 2010 and again in March 2012 to learn from the world leader in hip sonography Professor R Graf.
Greg has been certified by Professor Graf as a trainer in hip sonography using the Graf technique and completed his Master of Medical Sonography at University of South Australia in 2020.
Greg is currently the Senior Sonographer at Belmont District Hospital in Lake Macquarie NSW.
