Emily O’Donohoe - Physiotherapist Specialist will share how physiotherapists interpret ultrasound findings—especially around the glutes—and how this shapes treatment strategies in practice.
Mr Andrew Grant |I-Med
Andrew Grant completed radiography training in 1992 and since then has ventured to multiple countries sharing his expertise in sonography and radiography. He is a regular presenter on MSK, vascular, paediatrics and general anatomy both here in Australia and internationally.
Besides his skills in ultrasound imaging, Andrew also holds a commercial pilot’s license which he has used to fly in and out of remote communities, establishing a strong presence as a flying sonographer.
Andrew has also worked for one of the top medical centres in western USA, UCLA Medical Centre, where he assisted in setting up the musculoskeletal ultrasound program. Andrew recently completed his Master of Medical Sonography at UniSA and now practices at I-Med East Melbourne Radiology where he is the Ultrasound Supervisor.
In 2023, Andrew was awarded the ASA Victorian Sonographer of the Year.
Emily O'Donohoe | Senior physiotherapist
With a strong passion for sports medicine, rehabilitation, and injury prevention, Emily holds a graduate certificate in sports medicine and is currently completing her master’s in sports medicine at the University of Melbourne.
Her academic background includes a bachelor of sport science and a bachelor of physiotherapy from Notre Dame University.
Emily brings valuable experience from the elite sports arena, having worked with the West Coast Eagles AFL team, where she refined her expertise in musculoskeletal injury management and athlete rehabilitation. She has a particular interest in sports-related injuries, especially running injuries involving the hip and knee, and is committed to helping individuals recover and perform at their best through movement-based, evidence-informed care.
Outside of her professional work, Emily enjoys an active lifestyle — from gym sessions and skiing to running the scenic trails of South West WA with her toddler and kelpie.
