A year of HR support: The top workplace issues members are navigating
The ASA’s free, confidential HR Advisory Service is proving to be a valuable addition to the support we provide our members. Delivered by HR Advice Online, the service gives members access to specialist workplace and employment advice by phone and email, at no additional cost.
So, what are members asking about? While all member queries remain strictly confidential, HR Advice Online provides the ASA with an overview of common themes. Over the first 12 months of the program, the top 3 areas of interest related to:

pay, awards and entitlements;

employment contracts and documentation and

workplace conflict and complaints.
Among other things, this may include issues such as performance and conduct, workplace health and safety, leave and return to work, role classification, restructuring and resignation.
The service is another part of the growing range of practical support the ASA provides throughout members’ careers — helping members understand their rights, navigate workplace challenges and access specialist advice when they need it.
