Remembering Vale Toni Halligan

The Australasian Sonographers Association (ASA) acknowledges with deep sadness and respect the passing of Toni Halligan, a long standing and highly valued member of our community.

Brisbane-based, Toni was a dedicated member of ASA for many years, providing sustained service to the profession including long-term volunteering with the Queensland Branch and committee roles supporting education and conference programming.

Toni’s professional life reflected a clear commitment to patient-centred care, to high standards of practice, and to the professional systems that support safe, high-quality ultrasound. Through Toni's distinguished career, we acknowledge and celebrate her generosity in sharing her knowledge and practical insights through her everyday work, her professional service on many advisory committees and program committees to build advanced practice, and to her commitment to training and supervising the next generation of sonographers.

We are grateful for the wide-reaching and enduring contributions Toni has made and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues, and honour her incredible legacy of service.
