Ovini Wanigasekera-Edith Cowan University
Ovini is an Accredited Medical Sonographer with over a decade of experience in general ultrasound. She graduated from Curtin University with Bachelor of Medical Imaging Science (Hon) in 2011 and commenced her ultrasound training through private radiology servicing both public and private sectors in the Southwest Region of Western Australia. She obtained her Masters in Medical Sonography through University of South Australia (UniSA) in 2018 and transitioned into academia with Central Queensland University (CQU - Perth campus). Here, she performed a dual role as a Clinical Academic and Lecturer for the Bachelor of Medical Sonography/Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography program for 5 years.
Ovini works as a senior sonographer for Rockingham General Hospital and for Breast Screen WA specialising Breast imaging thereby maintaining clinical currency. At Edith Cowan University (ECU) she currently works a Clinical Academic for Bachelor of Preclinical Foundations of Imaging Science/ Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography predominantly managing student clinical education.

Susanne Lundy-Perth Radiological Clinic
Sue is the Sonography Training Supervisor at Perth Radiological Clinic (PRC) in Western Australia and has been tutoring and supervising trainee sonographers for over 20 years. In her role, she oversees the ongoing development and management of PRC’s sonography training program, coordinates the clinical education of trainee sonographers, and provides direct tutoring and supervision to trainee sonographers (postgraduate and undergraduate) and the development of fellow tutors. She won ASA tutor of the year in 2015.
Sue is currently on the reference committees for the sonography programs at Edith Cowan University (ECU) and the University of South Australia (UniSA), and previously with Central Queensland University (CQU). She has previously served as a practical examiner for the Sonography courses of University of South Australia and Curtin University, and as an ASUM DMU exam invigilator and practical examiner.

Suean Pascoe- Zedu
Suean Pascoe, Director of Zedu Ultrasound Training Solutions, is an internationally recognised ultrasound educator dedicated to advancing practical skills development. She leads the creation and delivery of cutting-edge training programs designed to accelerate the acquisition of hands-on ultrasound skills. She also developed the TRUST (Train the Ultrasound Trainer) course, which equips educators with strategies to enhance teaching and mentoring.
Suean's innovative GOOSE framework, detailed in her publication "GOOSE: Introducing a Novel 5-Stage Structured Framework for the Early Phases of Teaching and Learning Ultrasound," offers a methodical, hands-on approach to skill acquisition. By emphasising systematic training on real-world patient models, her courses deliver fast-tracked results, helping participants achieve proficiency and confidence.
With a passion for education and a commitment to excellence, Suean continues to shape the future of sonography training, equipping a new generation of skilled practitioners with the tools they need to excel.

Gail Crawford-Integrated Ultrasound Education
Gail has been working as a Sonographer for over 20 years’ in Australia, the United Kingdom, and South East Asia.
She is a senior Clinical Sonographer with experience working in tertiary adult, obstetric and paediatric hospitals, along with working in private practice and rural and remote locations throughout Western Australia.
Gail, along with being a Director of IUE, has extensive experience working as a Tutor Sonographer, running the IUE Clinical Training Program, an intensive 12-16 week Ultrasound Training Program for student sonographers. She also is one of the Clinical Tutor Sonographer’s for Perth Children’s Hospital. Gail is passionate about ultrasound education and training. If not training Sonographers or trainee Sonographers, she can be found educating Physiotherapists (MSK/Women’s Health/Paediatric), Emergency and Respiratory Physicians, Radiology Registrars, GP Obstetricians and Midwives. She is also passionate about rural and remote health and can also be found scanning often in rural Western Australia.
Gail is proficient in developing sonographic training programs, assessing and remodelling existing programs, along with collating educational material and organising educational events. Gail holds a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment.
She is an active committee member of the Australian Sonographers Association (ASA) in Western Australia, having held the chairperson roll for many years, along with being actively involved in the Committee. Gail also worked a co-convenor for the ASA 2015 National Conference held in Perth.
