The ASA NSW Branch look forward to welcoming you back, face to face.

Close to Queen Victoria Building, Town Hall Train Station, Gadigal Metro Station and numerous buses.

Attendees will rotate around 4 stations covering the above topics.

Speakers

Christina Farr has been a Radiographer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for 20 years, and Sonographer for 15. Her special interest is liver Ultrasound post TIPSS or transplantation, however Christina teaches and performs a wide variety of Ultrasound including paediatrics and musculoskeletal examinations. Christina has been an active ASA member since 2009 and was Co-Convenor of the National Conference in 2018. 

Solange Obeid is a sonographer and manager of the Ultrasound Department at St Vincent’s Hospital Medical Imaging in Darlinghurst. With years of hands-on experience in patient care and team education, she’s passionate about advancing ultrasound practice and supporting her colleagues. Solange has presented at Australasian Sonographers Association branch meetings and co-authored research articles involving ultrasound. She enjoys sharing practical insights from her work and contributing to ongoing learning. 

Elaine Wang has been scanning since 1999 and gained extensive experience in acute medicine, abdominal, breast, paediatric, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. She has been involved in sonographer education, training, management, and research at her various workplaces. She has also been a member of the SoundEffects news/Sonography Editorial Committees between 2009 and 2017. Elaine is currently a lecturer at Central Queensland University based in the Sydney campus, teaching the theoretical unit of musculoskeletal sonography, as well as face-to-face scanning skill development units. Elaine is also a senior sonographer at iMed radiology network. Elaine’s special interests are in sonography education, quality improvement, and sonographer-led research.
